McNair Scholar Wins Trow Scholarship
EKU McNair Scholar Bradley Lackey - a junior biomedical sciences major from Elizabethown, Kentucky - is the recipient of the prestigious JoAnne J. Trow Scholaship from the Alpha Lamda Delta national honor society. Bradley earned the highest scholarship amount offered: $6,000. Only five student across the country earned this honor this year. Bradley says he will use this money for his continued study leading to a medical degree.
Dr. Travis Martin - factulty advisor to the Alpha Lamda Delta chapter at EKU, administsrator of the first-year courses at EKU, and an accomplished former McNair scholar himself - says, "Bradley is a trailblazer. At EKU he established one of the first VP of Diversity positions found in any Alpha Lamda Delta chapter. He was in the inaugural cohort for the national office's internship program. From there, he impressed enough people to be asked to serve as a student advisor to the Association of College Honor Societies. From the EKU Honors Program to EKU McNair Scholars, everywhere Bradley goes he makes the most out of his opportunities."
Congratulations, Bradley!
