How to Apply

To be eligible to participate in the McNair Scholars Program at Eastern Kentucky University, a student must be:

1. A citizen or national of the United States
2. Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program on the EKU Richmond campus
3. Be an excellent student demonstrating quality academic performance
4. Be committed to a career that requires a doctorate
5. Be a first-generation college student from a low-income background .. or ..
6. Be Black, Native American, Native Alaskan, Hispanic, Pacific Islander
7. Be a self-motivated individual who demonstrates good personal management skills like time management and effective scheduling and consistent follow-through on tasks and assignments.
